One of the most beautifully drawn tarot decks in existence, in my opinion. Created by Jean-Baptiste Alliette in the late 18th century, here reproduced in the original, pleasing to handle, 6.5cm x 12.5cm rectangular format.
1969 by BP Grimaud, printed in France. With the duel-language text on the box.
Very near fine condition with some slight rubbing to the edges. Nothing extreme compared to many boxes I've seen and generally it's an excellent condition box. The main issue is that one side-flap is torn on the hinge and only just hanging on.
There is some bumping to the flap and some pages of the little white book, which is very common as the deck and book are very tightly packed into the book in this early edition.
Most cards are completely pristine, with very occasionally a tiny speck-mark. The "Delay" card has an open crease, pictured. Reduced due to the torn flap and creased card, though issues like this are very common in such a vintage deck and this is an excellent example of the 1969 edition.
