Truly a one-of-a-kind treasure. The first novel of artist and occultist Joséphin Péladan, signed by him to one of the artists working and exhibiting alongside him at his Salons de la Rose+Croix.
Also known as Sâr Mérodack, Péladan founded the Kabbalistic Order of the Rose-Cross with Stanislas de Guaita and Papus.
Luxurious half leather on beautifully marbled boards and striking endpapers. French language.
Some mild rubbing and bumping, generally fantastic condition.
