A fine copy of this first edition, second impression from the same year of 1982. A whimsical story from Tolkien, with both a typed version opposite facsimiles of his original handwritten and hand drawn pages.
There are some slight creases in the dust jacket, as well as a removed-sticker mark on the inside of the front. There is some very slight bleaching to the spine. Otherwise a very well preserved copy.
