Almost certainly a 1915 first edition (it is undated hence the "almost") this nearly fine condition hardback covers the fascinating book covers not only the mythology of Babylonia and Assyria, but also the history of the region (Mesopotamia), biblical accounts similar to the region's mythology, and comparisons to the mythologies of other cultures, such as those of India and northern Europe.
Some foxing to internally and to the page edges. Pictures are bright and clear. Inscribed by a previous owner in 1922.
