A combination of two of John Symonds works on Aleister Crowley, here expanded and with more lascivious detail which was difficult for the author to include so close to the subject's death.
Written by a man who met him late in life and became Crowley's literary executor, hence the incredibly high level of documentary evidence and information in the book.
1971 first edition published by MacDonald and Co. Striking gold dust jacket over black boards.
Some creasing and a slightly loose feel to the gold dust jacket, which has some handling marks and inside has had water damage at some point in its life, evidenced also on the back board of the covers, see pictures.. But internally the book is clean, bright and still soundly bound, though with a very mild warp.
