This book was created after an extensive study by the authors (and others) into the use various psychedelic drugs to induce and understand religious experience, conducted during the 1962 Zihuatanejo Project in Zihuatanejo, Mexico.
After presenting a translation of the Tibetan Book of the Dead it then uses the framework and narrative journey through the bardos as an architecture through which to guide a practitioner through psychedelically induced ego-death. It is written as a completely practical guide for use.

Very good condition with a split to the spine, with binding completely sound and fixed throughout, some foxing and marks, bumping and rubbing to the covers. All of these issues are mild and to be expected of a text of this age, which is remarkably bright. A fantastic addition to the collection of anyone interested in the mystical elements of psychedelic journeying, and the history of the influence of eastern ideas on western esoteric chemical practice.
