Very attractive gilt embossed designs on the front board and spine. Some bumping and scuffing to the outer corners and to the head and tail of the spine. Gilt-edged pages. A small open tear to the front free endpaper. Light toning to the front and rear free endpapers and minor foxing to the first few front and rear pages. Visible binding through the endpaper where the board meets the block, though throughout the book the binding is tight. Clear print and well-preserved black-and-white illustrations. Small foxing-type mark on pp 241-248.
