1973 Samuel Weiser Edition of this influential tarot deck designed and overseen by Aleister Crowley then painted by artist Lady Frieda Harris, is known to collectors as the "B" version, exceptionally rare in fine condition, and contains several distinguishing features. This purchase includes the 1983 edition of The Book of Thoth, in very good though used condition and published by Samuel Weiser, itself a rare and sought after publication.
The cards have a bluish hue. The Rosicrucian verso art is full-bleed and borderless. There is no booklet (LWB) mentioned on the box and no booklet contained within, as this was not introduced until later.
This copy is in very good condition. Unusually the box and gold box are both and stable, with only rubbing, tape, a graze and slight score to the card rather than the often ink-stained and collapsed or torn boxes one sees on the market. The recess for grasping the golden box within the white is offset and shallow compared to most I have seen.
The deck itself is beautifully preserved. The only card that I can see has any issue is a slight spot to the OTO card.
